Please follow the next steps in order to create a Facebook Application and Connect your Phone Number:
Sign in to the Facebook for Developers portal, and click Create App.
Select Business as your app type.
Provide the required business information.
Navigate to the WhatsApp section and click Set up.
Accept the terms and conditions to continue.
Send a test message to verify the setup.
Click Add Phone Number to connect a phone number to your WhatsApp Cloud API account.
Fill in your business information and click Next
Add a phone number for your WhatsApp Cloud API. Note that the number you add cannot be tied to an existing WhatsApp account.
Verify the phone number you’ve added. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to the number. Enter the verification code once you receive it.
Verify the phone number you’ve added now. Look at the Send and receive messages sections. The number you’ve added will be shown there.
Congrats. You have connected your phone number with your WhatsApp Cloud API account!
Now, you need to subscribe to specific Webhook events and connect your number to Perfex WhatsApp Chat Module Platform, in order to start sending and receiving messages: Head to Configuration section:
Click on the "Edit" button and enter the Webhook URL and Verification Token obtained from the WhatsApp Official Chat Module settings (head to module's settings in Admin area of Perfex CRM to get those):
Ensure that your webhook is subscribed to the following events, which are critical for sending and receiving WhatsApp messages within Perfex CRM:
Last step is to create a permanent access token through Meta's Business suite:
Here are the detailed steps to obtain your permanent access token:
Log into Facebook's Business Manager:
Create a System User:
Navigate to Business Settings.
Under Users, select System Users.
Click Add to create a new system user. Assign a name and choose the Admin role.
Assign Assets and Permissions:
After creating the system user, assign the necessary assets (your app) and grant all permissions.
Generate the Access Token:
Click Generate Token and copy the token. Paste it in the Access Token input field of the module's settings, in the admin area of your Perfex CRM's installation.
