The Bulk Contacts feature in the WhatsApp Official Cloud API Chat module for Perfex CRM allows users to manage and communicate with a large number of contacts efficiently. This feature is particularly useful for importing, organizing, and targeting contacts for campaigns, customer engagement, and marketing automation.
Navigate to Bulk Contacts From the left sidebar menu, click on WhatsApp > Bulk Contacts (New & Beta).
You will be directed to the Bulk Contacts List screen, where you can manage existing contacts or import new ones.
Import Contacts via CSV
Upload contacts in bulk using a CSV file. This ensures efficient management of large contact lists.
A sample CSV template can be downloaded for reference.
Group Assignment
Assign contacts to specific groups during import to organize them for targeted campaigns or communication.
Create New Contacts
Manually add individual contacts to the list with detailed information, such as:
Name
Company Name
Phone Number
Address (City, State, Country)
Description
Groups for categorization.
Contact Organization
Contacts can be categorized into groups, making it easy to target them with campaigns or manage them for different purposes.
Click on the Import Contacts button on the Bulk Contacts List screen.
In the popup window:
Upload CSV File: Choose a CSV file from your computer. Ensure the file includes columns for:
Name, Number, Company, Address, City, State, Country, and Description.
Assign to Groups: Select the group(s) where these contacts should be added. You can create new groups under the "Groups" section if needed.
Click Import to add the contacts.
Note: A CSV template can be downloaded for proper formatting by clicking on the Download Sample CSV link.
Click on the Create New Contact button.
Fill in the required fields in the form:
Name: Enter the full name of the contact.
Company Name: (Optional) Specify the contact's company.
Phone Number: Enter the WhatsApp phone number of the contact.
Address: Enter the detailed address of the contact (City, State, Country).
Description: Provide any additional details about the contact.
Groups: Assign the contact to one or more groups for better organization.
Click Create Contact to save the contact.
Navigate to Groups (New) under the WhatsApp section.
View all groups and their descriptions. Each group displays the total number of contacts.
You can Edit or Delete groups as needed:
Edit: Update the group name or description.
Delete: Remove the group if it is no longer required.
After adding or importing contacts, you can use the Campaigns feature to target them with bulk messages.
Create a new campaign by selecting the desired group(s) or individual contacts as the recipients.
Use Proper Formatting for CSV Files
Ensure all phone numbers include the correct country code for WhatsApp messaging.
Avoid duplicate entries in the CSV file.
Organize Contacts into Groups
Assign contacts to groups like Leads, Customers, or specific campaign categories to streamline communication.
Verify Contact Data
Double-check imported data for accuracy to avoid messaging errors or invalid numbers.
Follow WhatsApp Policies
Avoid spamming or sending unauthorized messages. Ensure all communications comply with WhatsAppβs policies to prevent account restrictions.
By leveraging the Bulk Contacts feature, users can streamline their contact management and execute campaigns with greater efficiency.
