Request for Quotes

✅ Creating a Request for Quotes (RFQ)

An RFQ can be created directly from a Purchase Requisition or through the Request for Quotes menu under Purchase Management.

🔹 Option 1: From the Purchase Requisitions Page

  1. Go to Purchase Requisitions.

  2. Locate the requisition you want to generate an RFQ for.

  3. On that row, click the triple-dot (⋮) action menu.

  4. Select Request For Quotes.

  5. A modal/form will appear with the following fields:

    • Suppliers (multi-select)

    • Start Date

    • End Date

  6. Fill in the details and submit the form.

✅ Once submitted:

  • An RFQ is created for each selected supplier.

  • These RFQs will immediately appear in the respective suppliers’ dashboards.

  • Suppliers can submit their quotations against the RFQ from their side.

🔹 Option 2: From the Request For Quotes Menu

You can also create an RFQ via:

Purchase Management → Request For Quotes

This method allows you to:

  • Select an existing purchase requisition (if not auto-linked)

  • Choose suppliers

  • Set start and end dates

  • Submit the RFQ the same way

✅ What Happens After RFQ Creation?

  • Each chosen supplier receives an email with the product details.

  • These RFQs become visible in their Supplier Dashboard.

  • Suppliers can now apply or submit quotations based on the RFQ details and deadline.
