πŸ“ˆReports

The Reports section provides a suite of financial reports that summarize your accounting data. All reports are accessed from Accounting β†’ Reports in the sidebar. Each report supports date range filtering and can be exported in three formats: PDF, Excel, and CSV.

Available Reports

Trial Balance

Displays all accounts with their debit and credit balances for a given period. The total debits must equal total credits β€” any imbalance indicates an error in the books. This is typically the first report to check when closing a period.

Balance Sheet

Shows your organization's financial position at a specific point in time, organized into three sections: Assets (what you own), Liabilities (what you owe), and Equity (the difference). Assets must equal Liabilities plus Equity.

Profit & Loss (Income Statement)

Summarizes revenue and expenses over a date range to show net income or loss. The report groups entries by income accounts and expense accounts, with subtotals for each category and a net figure at the bottom.

General Ledger

A detailed listing of every transaction posted to each account during the selected period. Each entry shows the date, description, debit amount, credit amount, and running balance. This report is useful for auditing individual account activity.

Cash Flow Statement

Tracks the movement of cash in and out of the business, organized into three categories: Operating Activities (day-to-day business), Investing Activities (asset purchases/sales), and Financing Activities (loans, equity). Shows the net change in cash for the period.

Accounts Receivable Aging

Groups outstanding customer invoices by how overdue they are: Current, 1–30 days, 31–60 days, 61–90 days, and 90+ days. Helps identify slow-paying customers and assess collection risk.

Accounts Payable Aging

Similar to A/R Aging but for vendor bills. Groups unpaid bills by their age to help manage cash flow and ensure timely payments to suppliers.

Budget vs. Actual

Compares budgeted amounts against actual spending for each budgeted account. Shows the variance in both absolute terms (dollar difference) and as a percentage. Requires budgets to be configured first (see the Budgets section).

Tax Summary

Summarizes all tax-related transactions for a given period, grouped by tax rate. Shows the total taxable amount, tax collected, and tax paid. Useful for preparing tax filings and understanding your tax obligations.

Report Controls

All reports share a common set of controls at the top of the report view:

  • Date Range β€” Select a start and end date, or use preset ranges like "This Month," "This Quarter," or "This Year."

  • Export β€” Download the report in your preferred format (PDF, Excel, or CSV).

  • Print β€” Send the report directly to your printer.

Some reports offer additional filters. For example, the General Ledger allows filtering by specific account, and the Aging reports can be filtered by customer or vendor.
